It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to our dearly departed friend and revered artist, Gina Pellón.

On Thursday, March 27, 2014, she passed away in Paris, where she lived since 1959, after an ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Gina was known for her extraordinary talent and strong values. A disciplined devotion to her passion for art followed her to the end.

Those of us who had the privilege of knowing Gina will remember her as a great human being who not only created riveting works of art but lived an honorable, exemplary life. Doing it right and authenticity were her partners.

Amative of life, of freedom, of her country – she stood for her beliefs and always acted accordingly.

Gina succeeded in Paris and beyond… As a citizen of the world, she has left an indelible mark.

Adieu, Madame. Be at peace.

Ramón Cernuda.
